Since I have been under the weather for quite some time my house isn't as clean as I would like and my kids think they can get away with more. To solve both problems I have started giving my older kids extra chores as a form of discipline. It's simple things that I usually do that no one but me notices but adds up. The get to wash doors, wipe down cupboards, organize drawers or toys, and etc.

Sorry we have had a long week of just being sick. My three older kids each took their turns at the 24hr flu. Then my oldest caught a cold and shared it with me. He is so kind. I took the longest to recover probably because I didn't have a full nights rest the whole week. We are all on the mend and feeling much better. I have reached that point where I no longer need diapers. It is a relief and a great deal easier on the check book. Guess what is a question I hear numerous times a day. "Guess what happened at school today," "Guess what I did on my way home," and "Guess what my friend said." My three year old son has started copying phrases that I say and makes me think about what I am saying. Today I was frustrated with my computer and he came to me and said "It's okay hun". Last night I put my kids to bed as always hugs and kisses goodnight. In the middle of the night was what was strange my 3 year old woke up in the night without a shirt on. We went to his room to find his shirt and there I discovered none of my boys had their shirts on. So I ask why do boys do these things that my girls would never imagine doing?

It's interesting how kids can just know how you are feeling with out you knowing just how you are feeling.I was helping my 8 and 7 year old boys with their homework after trying to give them and my 6 year old daughter their first lesson on how to read music.
